PURCHASING NEW LICENSES

A customer has 20 file servers and 300 workstations. Which product should he purchase?

The customer needs to buy 320 licenses for Kaspersky Business Space Security. A customer cannot purchase different products from the Kaspersky Open Space Security line of products.

A customer needs to protect 40 workstations and 45 Exchange mailboxes. What can be offered?

First of all, make sure the customer doesn’t use KL products to protect file servers.If they don’t, 40 Kaspersky Work Space Security licenses and 45 Kaspersky Security for Mail Server licenses can be offered. If the customer already uses KL products to protect their file servers, either Kaspersky Enterprise Space Security, or Kaspersky Business Space Security and Kaspersky Security for Mail Server should be offered (in line with the migration procedure outlined in the price list guidelines).

MIGRATING FROM OLDER PRODUCTS TO NEWER PRODUCTS

A user wants to renew their license for Kaspersky Anti-Virus for Lotus Notes / Domino. For which product should the file key be issued?

A number of earlier products have no direct counterpart in Kaspersky Lab’s new product line. In particular, this applies to products to protect mail and Internet gateways that were sold separately. When the license period of these products expires, the user can migrate to Kaspersky Security for Mail Server for the cost of license renewal. This condition applies to the following products (old price list items):

A user’s licenses for 10 workstations and 1 file server have expired. He wants to renew the existing licenses and obtain protection for a further 15 workstations and 2 file servers. How should the specifications be calculated?

The existing licenses that the customer has are equivalent to 11 Kaspersky Business Space Security licenses. The purchase of new licenses and the renewal of old ones is carried out in accordance with the “Renewal with additional licenses” rules. It means the customer can purchase 28 licenses for the license renewal price stated in the 10-14 license number range.
